Role Overview

As a Lead, Reliability Engineer, you'll be a pivotal part of the Avanti Command Center Quality Assistance BizOps team. We are on the hunt for someone with a strategic mindset, robust development background, and a flair for automation. You will play a vital role in ensuring consistent customer experiences, even during volatile market conditions. Your expertise will shape the future of our resiliency testing strategies and influence Chaos Engineering standards across the organization.


Key Responsibilities

- Review and analyze infrastructural requirements, ensuring alignment with Mastercard's technology and security protocols.
- Collaborate with various teams to validate high-level requirements and maintain architectural documentation.
- Spearhead chaos execution and validation initiatives, adhering to best practices and standards.
- Lead regional chaos testing efforts, ensuring optimal resource utilization and implementation.
- Contribute to incident diagnosis, root cause analysis, and performance tuning strategies.



Desired Experience & Skills

- A deep-seated passion for understanding transaction flows and integrated components.
- Proven experience in resiliency testing and identifying platform vulnerabilities.
- Familiarity with Cloud technologies (AWS/Azure), container services (Docker/Kubernetes), and observability tools (Datadog, Grafana).
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD Engineering, Quality Engineering, and performance testing tools.
- Proficiency in API testing tools such as SoapUI, Postman, and Soatest.
- Familiarity with Chaos engineering tools, particularly Gremlin, is a plus.
- Demonstrated expertise in agile methodologies and collaborative problem-solving.



Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
